For our final project, the class was given a plain set of draftings for a birdhouse and asked to assemble them and showcase various skills used in the class. Distressing the stock wood was achieved with dimensional carving and heavy paint weathering. A piano hinge opened to a bloody mouth sculpted from extruded polystyrene.
